July 2021

I submitted my abstract titled "The Effects of Major Wind Events on North Carolina Shelf Currents" to present a poster at the Young Coastal Scientist and Engineer Conference in Myrtle Beach this October.

May 2021

I am excited to announce I was selected as a winner for the 2021 Data Challenge by the Southeast Coastal Ocean Observing Regional Association (SECOORA). For this project I will process nearly two decades of in-situ current measurements from a buoy in Onslow Bay North Carolina. With the data I will look at the potential for marine hydrokinetic energy in the shelf region and try to resolve any seasonality in the currents. I want to thank Dr. Ata Suanda and the Coastal Ocean Research and Monitoring Program, who I will be working with going forward. The announcement can be found here
